    We all hear about cholesterol and how we need to lower

    We all hear about cholesterol and how we need to lower it, but what is this mysterious thing? Cholesterol is a lipid, and it exists in our cell membranes and blood plasma. Most of our cholesterol is created by our bodies, and organs. Cholesterol is used in many of body’s functions and comes in two types: LDL (“bad” cholesterol) and HDL (“good” cholesterol). The problems with cholesterol occur when someone has abnormally high levels of LDL cholesterol and low amounts of HDL cholesterol. In this workshop we will talk about how with some simple changes, you can lead a healthy lifestyle. Also Preeti will provide you with holistic nutrition tips on how to balance your cholesterol. She will demonstrate a few dishes which can be enjoyed by people wanting to balance their cholesterol.

    Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by high blood sugar levels that result from defects in insulin secretion, or action, or both. Millions of people in Canada are suffering from diabetes today. As we get older, the chances of developing this disease continue to increase. If not treated properly, diabetes can lead to many medical complications and be fatal. Diabetes is a result of faulty diet and lifestyle. It is imperative that this condition be monitored regularly and that a natural, healthy lifestyle adopted. In this workshop we will talk about how with some simple changes, you can lead a healthy lifestyle. Also Preeti will provide you with holistic nutrition tips on how to balance your blood sugar. She will demonstrate a few dishes which can be enjoyed by people living with Diabetes.

    Menopause is a natural biological process

    Menopause is a natural biological process, not a medical illness! Even so, the physical and emotional symptoms of menopause can disrupt your sleep, sap your energy and - at least indirectly - trigger feelings of sadness and loss. Menopause can be a terrible experience for a woman without intolerance from the love ones, co-workers and especially spouse. If we add these factors, menopause can be a living hell for a woman, both physically and mentally. In this workshop we will talk about how with some simple changes, you can lead a healthy menopause. Also Preeti will provide you with holistic nutrition tips on how to go through a healthy menopause and balance your hormones. She will demonstrate a few dishes which will help pre-menopausal, menopausal and even post menopausal women.
